Family Selfie!!

For this layout I used Gelatos!! I did the same technique as the last post. :)) I love the look of this!
Happy Scrappin,
Kimi

Again... I used Gelatos! I did this layout at a monthly blub... as a spin off the Family Selfie layout. (I'll post it soon).
I clear gesso'ed the paper, then once it was dry I could add colors of gesso to really change the look of the paper and brighten it. I cut the paper up, grunged the edge with a black distress pen, then glued the pieces to the base page. I added some left over embellies from my stash. :))
A great guy layout!
Kimi

Gold Leaf and Stencils

I don't think I posted this layout... I did it a while ago using Gold Leaf! I stenciled on glue then brushed on the gold leaf over the kids school picture. I also used aged enamel in white on my Dusty Attic scroll. I added tons of sequins and Pearl Pen dots to give a splattered look. And I made the purple flower using lace and a hot glue gun!
Happy Scrappin!

All that Glitters by Kaisercraft

I did this layout of Trinitee using the Kaisercraft paper line "All that Glitters."
I used Gelatos! And inka Gold, embossing powder, and flowers to create this pretty page. Oh and don't forget the Dusty Attic!
Hope you are inspired,
Happy Scrappin!
Kimi

ART SHOW!!

The Community ARTS Council is hosting a fundraiser THIS Friday night at 7Pm at the PG Public Library.
A few friends (thanks May Belle and Tess!) told me about it and encouraged me to enter. The only rule was that the art piece had to be 6" x 6" and each person can only enter three.
I did up the first three pieces... and my sweet Trinitee did the other two! She actually did three but we were in such a rush to enter our projects that i forgot to take a pict of the last one. Trin came up with these pieces of art all on her own!
Happy Scrappin!

Kaisercraft Design Team 2015 Entry

Hello!!

In this post... I'm entering to be a designer on the SUPER FABULOUS KAISERCRAFT Design Team!!  I have loved loved loved Kaiser for years and thought I would enter some fun stuff and 'try out' to be a designer!  Here it goes!!  :)))

PROJECT 1:  LAYOUT

I used the super cool "Off the Wall" paper collection to create this masculine page.  I used black glossy Dreamweaver paste in the background and a new to me... Texture tool by Ranger.  I had so much fun making designs in the paste!  I also added gears in tin tape, a wood piece stained with Pewter distress stain and metal gears.  I love the way it turned out!

PROJECT 2:  Beyond the Page/Altered Item

For this "Beyond the Page" project I used the Lowline Buffet.  I added the "Sandy Toes" paper, crackle paste as my base along with Maya Golds by Viva Decor to give it such a tropical color.  I used wood leaves sprayed colors, lots of embossing enamel, paste, shells and ribbons to finish off the look.  This is such a gorgeous project!

PROJECT 3:  Mixed Media

For my last project I used my favorite "Junk technique" on the front cover.  My "Junk technique" is simply to gather a bunch of junk, glue it on the mixed media piece you are doing, and then paint it black!  Once it's dry, I added Ink Gold to give the pieces contrast.  Inside the album I used the "Rustic Harmony" paper line to co-ordinate with my soft colors.  I tried to not go overboard on all the inside pockets and pages... sometimes less is more! :))

I hope you enjoyed looking at my wonderful KAISER projects!
Have a wonderful day,
Kimi Orton
